Frequently asked questions

  • I meet with you/your team to discuss your learning objectives. I then describe the topics, example stories, and activities I offer that I think would be a good fit; together, we determine what to include in the workshop. We also collaborate on group discussion questions and tweak them to meet the needs of your organization. If there’s a topic you would like to add that isn’t already included, I’m happy to look into it!

  • I know…isn’t it annoying when that information isn’t displayed on the website already?! The cost varies depending on the length of the workshop, the number of participants, and the extent of tailoring required. Standard workshop tailoring is included; special requests that take more time to develop are extra. Please get in touch to learn more.

  • Yes! I currently offer both virtual and in-person workshops. I’m based in Toronto, Canada and am happy to travel to wherever you are. Please note that travel and accommodation costs are extra.

  • All workshops are customized for the client. I’ve facilitated workshops for groups of all sizes—from 4 people to 300 people. Most workshops are 3 to 4 hours. If your team is interested in more than an introductory workshop and wants to develop polished stories, I can also facilitate a short series of workshops. This typically involves 3 workshops that are run 1-2 weeks apart.

  • Well, I’ve done it before, so I’m sure I can do it again!

  • Yes. I can help you develop a story, or I can develop it for you. I also support knowledge translation/knowledge mobilization strategy and projects. Please note, I am usually booked for at least the next 4 months. Please get in touch to learn more.

  • Yes. The learnings from my workshops are transferrable to other sectors. The examples I currently use relate to health, science, patient engagement, and knowledge translation because that’s the world I come from.

  • Nobody actually asks this (but they should). We’ve all been to enough presentations where we don’t connect, don’t understand, want to leave, and/or start daydreaming. In fact, the reason I developed KT Storytelling was to arm everyone with an antidote to boring presentations! I promise my workshop will not be boring.
